Liz Slade is an educational consultant, teacher-trainer, mindfulness teacher, and nature meditation guide. Liz was a pioneer in the mindfulness in education movement and a classroom teacher for over 30 years. She has a deep belief that when we pause to nourish our own hearts, we are better able to care for each other, build inclusive communities, and protect our planet.
Celebrate 2026 Earthday! Turn off your electronics and spend the day outside giving back to Mother Earth! Help us plant native species and learn about the many ways you can nurture our shared environment.
Join us this Earth Month to help reduce textile waste by learning how to mend your own clothing and linens! We will be focusing on reattaching zippers, buttons, patching up holes, and more. Come with any old clothing, blankets, toys, etc. you wish to repair. This workshop is recommended for everyone ages 8+. Pre-registration is suggested for this free class.
