Urban Naturalist Bruce Rosenberg will lead a walking tour that will focus on the history and highlights of Lasdon. Stops will include examining the William and Mildred Lasdon Memorial Garden, the magnolia trees, lilacs, conifers and azalea garden in addition to learning about the history of the Lasdon Main House. Join the Preserve staff in studying the “double life” of frogs, salamanders and more as they develop from their larval stage into adults. The study will be followed by a short hike and a hands-on activity. Hiking shoes are recommended. Free.
Come visit the farm and experience the joy of grooming our friendly horse, Haley! This hands-on program gives kids the opportunity to help care for Haley through brushing and grooming, which supports coat maintenance and encourages positive socialization. Pre-registration is required, and kindly note that this program has a firm age minimum of 12 years old.
