Lasdon History and Highlights
Urban Naturalist Bruce Rosenberg will lead a walking tour that will focus on the history and highlights of Lasdon. Stops will include examining the William and Mildred Lasdon Memorial Garden, the magnolia trees, lilacs, conifers and azalea garden in addition to learning about the history of the Lasdon Main House. Muscoot Mansion Tour
Join our education staff on a historical tour of the mansion. Meet promptly at 11:00 AM by the grape arbor located behind the mansion. Recommended for ages 13+.

“Double Life” Animals: Amphibians and Macroinvertebrates
Join the Preserve staff in studying the “double life” of frogs, salamanders and more as they develop from their larval stage into adults. The study will be followed by a short hike and a hands-on activity. Hiking shoes are recommended. Free.
Horse Grooming
Come visit the farm and experience the joy of grooming our friendly horse, Haley! This hands-on program gives kids the opportunity to help care for Haley through brushing and grooming, which supports coat maintenance and encourages positive socialization. Pre-registration is required, and kindly note that this program has a firm age minimum of 12 years old.

Albanian Heritage Day
This festival will feature Albanian cuisine, beverages, dancing and a variety of sports. The event will also include live performances and children from the Mother Tereza Center. DJ Geni will play lively traditional music from all regions of Albania. The festival will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for sitting on the lawn. Coolers aren’t allowed. Admission and parking are free.
Heritage of India Festival
People from all backgrounds are invited to take part in this vibrant celebration of India’s rich and diverse culture. It will be an afternoon packed with entertainment and more than 40 dynamic performers will take the stage, showcasing traditional and contemporary Indian dance and music that spans the subcontinent.
Festivalgoers can also browse vendors offering mouthwatering Indian cuisine, colorful clothing, dazzling jewelry, accessories, gifts, hand-crafted arts and crafts, and more. The free activities for kids will make this a day for all generations to enjoy.

The 29th Annual Asian-American Heritage Festival
The celebration will showcase Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai and Indonesian cultures with live songs, dances, musical performances, ethnic foods, Asian arts and cultural exhibits, and Chinese paper cutting and origami. There will also be children’s entertainment, balloon sculptures, games and face painting. The festival will be held rain or shine. Italian Heritage Festival
The festival will feature mouthwatering Italian cuisine, engaging children’s games, captivating cultural exhibits, handmade arts and crafts, and upbeat DJ music to keep you moving. Please be advised that the Bronx River Parkway will be closed for Bicycle Sundays between Scarsdale Road in Yonkers and the Westchester County Center in White Plains in July from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Kensico Dam Plaza can be accessed via Route 22, from the north or south.
