Join us for a mid-morning cuppa while you meet and learn about the animals on the farm! Participants will harvest and make some scrumptious treats for both us humans and the animals to enjoy together for a tea party! Adults and children 6+ welcome! Pre-registration is required with a $15 program fee.

Join us for our April Community Farm Work Day at Hilltop Hanover Farm! This month, volunteers will work alongside our farmers to plant our potato crop—a classic spring task that helps set the stage for the season ahead.
Volunteers will help place seed potatoes and assist with planting tasks in the field. Participants should be comfortable working outdoors and able to bend at the waist and kneel on uneven terrain.
Registration is required. To sign up, you’ll need to create a free Bloomerang Volunteer account (our volunteer scheduling system) so you can register for the shift and receive event updates and details.
The Old Time Music Jam is a monthly gathering of local, acoustic musicians who play traditional Appalachian fiddle music. Come to play or just to listen and enjoy the community music can create! Musicians of all levels are welcome.
Go on a guided tour of the Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow! Enjoy a 45-minute interpreter-led tour of the Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow to learn about its history, significance, and what life for keepers was like. Tour is free; registration required; parking fees may apply. The Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow is located at Kingsland Point Park off Palmer Avenue. Parking with nearby restrooms is available, the lighthouse is accessed by a 10 minute stroll south along the Riverwalk path. The five story structure includes four narrow stairways.

Little ones, ages 3-6, will explore the whimsy of the world around them through combining storytelling with hands-on activities on the farm straight from the tale! Registration for this class is required online where you can pay what you want!

Let’s gather together to enjoy early growth in the gardens, record our stories in a journal, and learn about tools. We will experiment with seeds and roots, build with sticks, stems, rocks and blocks, and exercise our imagination. We always end with gratitude for forest friends and a cup of warm tea. Dress for the weather and bring a snack. Ages 18 mo. – 4 years
