This vibrant commemoration offers the public a unique opportunity to explore the rich heritage of Muslim communities through live performances, music, a bustling market, arts and crafts, food trucks, and educational experiences highlighting American Muslim culture.

Irish Heritage Day begins at noon, Mass starts at 12:30 p.m., followed by entertainment. Bagpipers and The Deirdre O’Mara School of Irish Dance will be there too! There will also be activities for the children, shop for authentic Irish goods from various vendors, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.
General admission is $10, seniors/children admission is $5, children 13 and under are free. Parking is free.

A pool party and barbecue are scheduled on Tuesday, June 17 at Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains. Westchester’s senior citizens are invited to kick off the summer. Rain date is Wednesday, June 18.
Sponsored by Westchester County Parks and the county’s Department of Senior Programs and Services, the pool party is open to Westchester County residents age 60 and older. Seniors are welcome to bring their young grandchildren.
Since the pool will not be officially open yet, seniors and youngsters will have the pool for their exclusive use. Saxon Woods also features the “Andy’s Place” playground that is handicapped-accessible for children with special needs and is fun for kids of all ages. Mini golf rounds are free.
From 11 a.m. to noon, barbecued chicken, tossed salad, potato salad, juice and dessert will be available. Entertainment will be provided by Mack and Soul, along with a water aerobics class.
Participants are welcome to bring any additional non-alcoholic beverages. Seating at Saxon Woods Pool is limited; participants are encouraged to bring chairs for seating.
Admission and parking for the event are free; park passes are not required for this program.
