Little Explorers
Looking for something to do with your 3-5 year old? Bring them to the farm for a fun morning of stories, crafts, animal and nature activities, and more! Please meet at Muscoot’s Activity Building; Fee includes one child and one caregiver.
Fairy Walk
Join us at the farm as we welcome master storyteller, Jonathan Kruk. Jonathan will lead participants on a magical fairy walk with stories of wonder and magic. Children of all ages are welcome to don their wings and join us for this enchanting morning.
Autumn wildflower walk
Join us at Trailside this weekend for a guided exploration of our fall landscape. Together we will identify the many wildflowers only visible during the autumn months and learn about their historical uses.
Fireside Nature Storytime
Enjoy children’s stories amongst the trees, with a campfire to keep warm! Requires 1-minute on-trail walk to campfire area.
Bicycle Sundays
For over 50 years, people have gathered on Sundays in May, June, and September celebrate the traffic-free opportunity to get outside and walk, bike, and jog. Westchester Parks Foundation is committed to preserving this beloved program for all to enjoy, and our supporters help keep is going year after year!

Together we are committed to parks and open space, and we all make this event possible for the thousands of people that participate.
Heritage of India Festival
People from all backgrounds are invited to take part in this vibrant celebration of India’s rich and diverse culture. It will be an afternoon packed with entertainment and more than 40 dynamic performers will take the stage, showcasing traditional and contemporary Indian dance and music that spans the subcontinent.
Festivalgoers can also browse vendors offering mouthwatering Indian cuisine, colorful clothing, dazzling jewelry, accessories, gifts, hand-crafted arts and crafts, and more. The free activities for kids will make this a day for all generations to enjoy.
The event is rain or shine. Bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn. Admission and parking are free.
The 29th Annual Asian-American Heritage Festival
The celebration will showcase Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai and Indonesian cultures with live songs, dances, musical performances, ethnic foods, Asian arts and cultural exhibits, and Chinese paper cutting and origami. There will also be children’s entertainment, balloon sculptures, games and face painting. The festival will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn. Coolers aren’t allowed. Admission and parking are free.
Italian Heritage Festival
The festival will feature mouthwatering Italian cuisine, engaging children’s games, captivating cultural exhibits, handmade arts and crafts, and upbeat DJ music to keep you moving. Expect festive dancing and live performances from Carozza Entertainment. The festival will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for sitting on the lawn. Coolers aren’t allowed. Admission and parking are free.
Please be advised that the Bronx River Parkway will be closed for Bicycle Sundays between Scarsdale Road in Yonkers and the Westchester County Center in White Plains in July from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Kensico Dam Plaza can be accessed via Route 22, from the north or south.
African-American Festival
The festivities will feature live entertainment including line dancing, and presentations of awards and scholarships. All six hours will feature drama, poetry, ethnic foods, health and educational vendors, free health screenings, cultural arts and crafts, and more. The festival will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn. Coolers aren’t allowed. Admission and parking are free. Overflow parking will be available at the Valhalla and North White Plains Metro-North train stations, with free shuttle service to and from the Dam from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
