Join beekeeper, Sean Bugara, to learn how to get started with your own bees at home! Topics discussed will include basic equipment, starting and maintaining a hive, and responsible beekeeping practices. Come prepared to ask all of your burning bee questions!
Every summer from 1926 until 1964, the Croton Point Park Association took up residence in their bungalow colony at Croton Point Park. They had a baseball team, a community center, weekly dances, a flourishing newspaper – until they were evicted. We wonder how this group lived, what life was like, and what happened after their houses were torn down. A lecture with slides and archival media taking place in the Nature Center
