Come learn all about the birds that do not migrate but instead tough out the colder months alongside of us!
Winter Bird Feeders
Come to the studio to make a simple bird feeder using pine cones and sun butter. Make one to take home and one to hang up at Lasdon. For all ages.

Guided Hike
Join Nature Center staff for a guided hike around the preserve. Approximately 2-mile hike, hiking shoes recommended.
Wintering Ducks
Can we spot any ducks floating on the ice this winter? Join us for a short hike to observe what waterfowl do in the cold season. Meet at entrance to RV Park. Free; no registration required; ages 5+; wear sturdy, warm shoes.
Owls in Winter
Learn about owls that live at Lasdon and make an adorable Snowy Owl craft. Visitors can stop by the Welcome Center any time between 1 and 3 to participate. For ages 3 and up.
Winter Forage Tea Party

Brew a hot cup of tea and enjoy a warm treat on a cold day from plants found around Hilltop’s trails! This program will involve moderate walking on the farm’s hiking trails. There is a $5 suggested donation per person.
