Community Farm Work Day: Garlic Planting
Join us for a Community Farm Work Day to get next year’s garlic in the ground! This hands-on morning welcomes neighbors of all ages and comfort levels to come together, get outside, and help plant one of our favorite crops before winter sets in.
What you’ll do:
Volunteers will help get the garlic in the ground. Tasks vary in physical demand, so there’s a comfortable way for everyone to pitch in, whether you’re up for active fieldwork or prefer lighter tasks.
Why it matters:
Garlic goes in the ground in the fall and spends the winter quietly taking root before we harvest it next summer. Planting takes time and many hands, and the cloves you plant this November become the garlic we harvest and share with our community next season.
Dress warmly in layers, come as you are, work at your own pace, and be part of the Hilltop Hanover Farm community for the day.
