Cultivating Resilience: An Evening Retreat for Agriculture Workers
September 23 at 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
Join us for a restorative evening designed specifically for the agricultural community. Farming is a profound labor of love, but the physical and mental demands of the land can easily lead to burnout. Together, we will step back from the fields at the end of the day to focus on your well-being.
Hosted at Hilltop Hanover Farm & Environmental Center, this evening offers a dedicated space to ease weary muscles, quiet an “always on” mind, and connect with peers who share your passion for sustainable earth stewardship. Explore nature-based mindfulness practices that cultivate calm, physical renewal, and inner nourishment as the sun goes down. Whether you are a farm owner, field manager, or dedicated crew member, this short retreat offers the deep rest you need to reinvigorate your body, mind, and connection to your work.
Cost: Free to all participants, thanks to generous funding from Mindful of Nature Food: Community Potluck Dinner. If you are able to, please bring a dish to share and celebrate our seasonal abundance together!
What to Expect: Sensory Awareness & Grounding: Transition out of “work mode” and into a space of simple, mindful presence on the farm Sunset Meditation: Learn accessible practices to soften tension and cultivate mental clarity as the day cools down Nourishing Silence & Shared Reflection: Enjoy quiet moments in nature alongside opportunities to share stories, challenges, and camaraderie with fellow agricultural workers Community Potluck: Connect over a shared meal with fellow land stewards
