    In celebration of National Poetry month, join award-winning poet and local artist Dave Donelson for a reading of his poetry inspired by Cranberry Lake, followed by a naturalist-led hike. Participants will be guided in writing their own poetry about the preserve, to be displayed in the nature center as a public exhibit.

    Gain a new appreciation for the plants all around us. Working with the dogbane plant, we will learn to hand-process its fibers into strong cordage. Ages 12 and up.
