Personal tree-tapping experience!
Join the Trailside staff for a personal tapping experience learning how we tap the trees to get sap to then make our very own maple syrup. You and your family will get a half hour time slot. $25 per family of four.

Have you ever wondered what happens on the farm during the winter? Join us for a walk around the farm and learn about how we prepare for the winter, plan for the next season, and the benefits that winter has on our crops and land! Registration is required.

Stop by the Nature Center to search for winter wildlife. Together we’ll enjoy a guided hike through the preserve focusing on the fauna who remain active all throughout the winter, often leaving plenty of evidence of their presence for us to enjoy discovering.
Learn the basics of creating natural dyes and help process wool to make a variety of beautiful colors! Pre-registration required.

Can we spot any eagles at the park this winter? Join us for a short hike to observe what waterfowl do in the cold season. Meet at entrance to RV Park. Free; no registration required; ages 5+; wear sturdy, warm shoes.
Learn about hibernation and the crucial role it plays for some species in surviving winter months. Discover who is sleeping the winter away and who remains active in the park and how they both manage to endure winter. After our walk we’ll return to the nature center for tea and hot chocolate to warm up.
